University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (UPB) is the biggest technical Romanian university and a prestigious research institution.

The Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers is the flagship of the university in terms of technological advance, scientific quality and research innovation. The project team is formed by highly qualified researchers with experience in IT innovation, especially in the fields of virtual reality and medical IT.

This team will bring their expertise and innovative capacity, using latest technologies to find the best conceptual, design and implementation solutions for TRAVEE.

Technical University „Gheorghe Asachi” of Iași (TUI), is the higher education institution with the oldest tradition in engineering in the country, being a relevant component of the research and development system. The 23 research centers and laboratories available to the university, the participation in national and international projects, prove the interest in research and innovation of TUI.

The expertise in portable devices and European projects recommends Technical University of Iași (TUI) as being very suitable for the design and the development of the hardware and the software solutions needed for TRAVEE.

National Institute of Rehabilitation, Physical Medicine and Balneoclimatology

The National Institute of Rehabilitation, Physical Medicine and Balneoclimatology (INRMFB) is a public institution that operates under the coordination of the Ministry of Health. The fields of activity of INRMFB are health, education and research.

The 4 ambulatory wards and the 4 clinics (with 245 beds) treat a large number of patients who benefit from medical rehabilitation and other medical services related to rehabilitation. These patients present the most diverse pathologies and come from all over the country. More than two thirds of the patients treated in the institute have problems after neurological diseases (predominantly stroke).

The research activity is supported by the work carried out permanently for the certification of balneary treatment factors, the compilation and validation of balneary cure indications. The complex activity of INRMFB is highlighted by the large number of patients treated, by organizing and participating in prestigious scientific events as well as by valuable scientific publications.
